To help us come out of our comfort zone, Amal Academy came up with the task of collecting funds for the Edhi foundation.

Collecting Funds for nationwide poor and needy people had been a heartwarming activity for all of us. Considering them as humans and being humans ourselves we must always starve to help out such people. The experience of collecting Funds, in COVID-19 Days, was a bit disappointing. Carrying out this activity was difficult and people were having trust issues because we didn’t have anything representing the Edhi Foundation Campaign besides a Permission letter, on which people weren’t trusting.

We were a group of eight people. We decided to type a message regarding this activity and shared it in our social circle through WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. We got a shockingly low response. People were asking weird questions.

When we finally, collected our first 1000 rupees

Two of the group members visited local shops in their area and One group member visited a school to collect funds. They faced a lot of challenges. It was really hard to ask for donations with gloves and mask on. One person uttered ‘Corruption ha is mulk men, kesy maan loon kai ye Organizations ghreebon ko hi paisy deeti hen’. We tried our best to convince that person and he assured us that he will donate next time instead. People were having a lot of trust issues. The school staff said a lot of rude stuff to one of our circle fellows.

One member visited this market to collect funds.

We didn’t lose hope, because we found some people who want to help the poor community.

A kind guy donating money😍

We must motivate others by letting them know the moral satisfaction we get by donating even a penny or two. Initiating a donation cycle is the aim we are adhered to. We have learned a lot of lessons through this activity. We should be grateful for what we have because there are people out there with nothing to eat and wear. It made us more confident and strong. Accepting failure wasn’t easy but it was worth it because of all the lessons it made us learn. We collected Rs 4800 ALHAMDULLILAH❤
