Growth Mindset and Why is it Important
It’s been three weeks since I joined Amal, and one of the most important things I have learned there is, what’s the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. Why developing a growth mindset is necessary and what good will it do? In Amal, they ask you a lot about your strengths and weaknesses and what can you do to improve them. By making smart goals, by doing what you love, but the following five steps are most helpful;
1. Positive self talk
2. Getting out of your comfort zone
3. Creating new habits
4. Asking people for help
5. Fake it till you make it.

My favorite step is “Fake it Till You Make It”. When something is so outside of our comfort zone, we tend to avoid it. When we lack confidence in a particular area, our brain tries its best to make us stay out of it, but if we fake confidence and see outside of our fear, we will get to know that that particular thing was not that difficult and eventually we will become confident. I have started implementing this step since I joined Amal. Every time I try to do something outside of my comfort zone, I fake confidence and if I come out of it with good results, it gives me more confidence.
Developing a growth mindset isn’t as hard as it sounds. You just need to be kind and inculcate a positive attitude towards yourself and others. Making smart goals is a great way to increase the productivity level. I am trying my best to develop a growth mindset by working on my smart goals and by faking confidence in some things I am a newbie at.
